How to Care for your art collection
Pottery
-
Hand-wash only with mild soap and warm water.
-
Avoid soaking — prolonged moisture can weaken unglazed or porous clay.
-
No harsh scrubbers or steel wool — use a soft cloth or sponge.
-
Dry thoroughly before putting it away, especially with lidded boxes or pieces with crevices.
Resin
-
Wipe gently with a soft, damp cloth.
-
For dust or fingerprints, use mild soap and water — no harsh chemicals, alcohol, or acetone (they can dull or cloud the surface).
-
Avoid abrasive sponges or paper towels that can scratch the glossy finish.
Jewelry
-
Avoid wearing jewelry while bathing, swimming, or exercising.
-
Water, sweat, and chemicals (like perfume or lotion) can dull finishes or weaken adhesives.
-
If your piece gets wet, gently pat dry with a soft cloth.
